You have arrived at La Ponche, a 5-star hotel in the heart of the village of Saint-Tropez. With your car parked in our parking lot, a small Piaggio takes you one minute away to the cove that the hotel overlooks. We will set up your suitcases in one of our 21 authentic and refined rooms. The most striking views are over the bay of Saint-Tropez. At the piano bar, where Boris Vian's trumpet and Bardot's laughter resounded, people dance to the rhythm of French songs. The Provençal restaurant, with a Mediterranean touch, extends from the terrace to the sea. From the pontoon you can enjoy the cove of La Ponche like a private swimming pool. An enchanting setting to let go, meditate, practice yoga in the Spa, before reconnecting to the energy of Saint-Tropez.
The rooms, renovated with the hotel by Fabrizio Casiraghi, have kept their simplicity and their incredible charm. The furniture has been sought after with a concern for harmony and the essential. From the windows or from the terraces and balconies, the picture is natural: the sea below, the sails in the distance, the pink tile paths tracing the village streets. In the image of vacation homes where one settles for the summer, the rooms are spacious and refined. The large bathrooms invite one to relax after bathing in the sea. The suites welcome those who prefer long stays. And adjoining rooms have been designed for trips with family or with friends.
The restaurant, designed by Chef Thomas Danigo, offers an original and inventive cuisine inspired by the South of France. Authentic dishes, thanks to a rigorous sourcing from the best local producers. Its private dining room is decorated with handmade paintings representing Saint-Tropez and the famous thirteen desserts of the Provençal tradition. The terrace, adjacent to the sea, is lulled by the lapping of the cinematic New Wave. As for the bar, its history goes back to 1949. Boris Vian annexed an adjoining barn to create the piano bar, Saint-Germain-des-Prés-La Ponche. Years later, Roger Vadim set the scene for the film, And God Created Woman. The famous black-and-white checkerboard floor perpetuates the festive and light spirit of La Ponche.
The Spa by Le Tigre
For the hotel's spa, the famous yoga club, Le Tigre, welcomes travelers who come to recharge. La Ponche is the ideal place to reconnect with time and the elements. In the early morning, we suggest you experience the sun salutations on the pontoon facing the sea. A few steps down and you can continue your yoga session with an invigorating bath. Private lessons, massages, and treatments are available at the Spa or directly in your room. A fitness room is available for our sporty travelers.
