La Ponche
You have arrived at La Ponche, a 5-star hotel in the heart of the village of Saint-Tropez. With your car parked in our parking lot, a small Piaggio takes you one minute away to the cove that the hotel overlooks. We will set up your suitcases in one of our 21 authentic and refined rooms and 3 appartments. The most striking views are over the bay of Saint-Tropez. At the bar, where Boris Vian's trumpet and Bardot's laughter resounded, people dance to the rhythm of French songs. The Provençal restaurant, with a Mediterranean touch, extends from the terrace to the sea. From the pontoon you can enjoy the cove of La Ponche. An enchanting setting to let go, meditate, practice yoga in the Spa, before reconnecting to the energy of Saint-Tropez. Whether in La Maison or in one of the four apartments that complement our hotel, experience the laid-back rhythm of Saint-Tropez.
The Rooms
The rooms, renovated by Fabrizio Casiraghi, have retained their understated elegance and charm. Antique furniture and views of the sea or the village rooftops create a natural, serene atmosphere. Spacious and minimalist, they evoke the feel of a vacation home, with bathrooms designed for relaxation. The suites are ideal for extended stays, and some connecting rooms have been designed for stays with family or friends. Adjacent to the main building, four apartments offer a more independent lifestyle, featuring spacious layouts and sea views. Set slightly apart, La Maison extends this sense of privacy, serving as a discreet retreat in the heart of the village, where time seems to slow down as you gaze out at the horizon.
The Restaurant-Bar
The restaurant, designed by Chef Simon Pinault and run by Marine Bon Mugnaïni, offers cuisine inspired by regional produce. Authentic dishes thanks to rigorous sourcing from the best local producers. Its private dining room is decorated with handmade paintings depicting Saint-Tropez and the famous thirteen desserts of Provencal tradition. The terrace overlooking the sea is lulled by the lapping of the Nouvelle Vague. As for the bar, its history goes back to 1949. Boris Vian annexed an adjoining barn to create the Saint-Germain-des-Prés-La Ponche bar. Years later, Roger Vadim set the scene for his film Et Dieu... créa la femme. The famous black and white chequered floor perpetuates the festive, light-hearted spirit of La Ponche. The bar has a huge fireplace and deep armchairs for those who want to extend the evening.
